In the vibrant city of Rosario, Argentina, on a sunny day of June 24, 1987, a young boy named Leonel Messi entered the world. His father, Jorge Messi, worked as a manager in a steel factory while his mother, Celia Cuccittini, dedicated her time to a magnet manufacturing workshop.  Surrounded by his tight-knit family with a passion for football, Leonel discovered his love for football at a tender age. And he played tirelessly in the streets of Rosario with a tattered ball along with his brothers and cousins. Even as a little boy of four, Leonel's talent shone brightly as he joined the local club Grandoli  where he honed his skills for a couple of years. Then at six, he joined the team Newell's Old Boys where he showcased his exceptional skills for the next six years by scoring nearly 500 goals. So far, it seemed all is well for this young prodigy. However, his future as a professional player was threatened when aged 10, he was diagnosed with a growth hormone deficiency, which affected his physical development. Due to this, he remained much smaller than his peers, making it harder for him to compete on the field. His parents, Jorge and Celia sought help from doctors who prescribed hormone injections to stimulate his growth. Though they agreed, however, it wasn't an easy journey for the family as the cost of the medication caused financial hardships as Messi had to take growth hormone injections every day. Messi showed great discipline and commitment to adhere to his treatment and continued to practice. Just when things started improving, another tragedy struck right before Leonel's 11th anniversary.
